Painted over two nights, a second Colorado amazonite and smoky quartz. This one is from the same mine as the previous one posted (Smoky Hawk claim, Crystal Peak area, Teller Co., Colorado, USA), but the amazonite is much bluer and the smoky quartz brown rather than black. Interesting how the two forms can occur so close to one another. Rob Lavinsky specimen, painted with permission. Water-mixable oil on black card.
